Meet some of our Team 

Tim Lambert (FRSA) – Our Director

Tim is the founding director of Kay-Lambert Associates Limited. and a highly experienced organisation and people development consultant. He has spent the past 20 years delivering impactful and sustainable improvements with senior executives and management teams in Blue Chips, Global and FTSE 100 companies as well as in the Not-for-Profit and SME sectors.This work has taken him to Scandinavia, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Puerto Rico and The Isles of Scilly!  

His work spans process design, executive coaching, organisation development, culture change and the delivery of a diverse range of team, management, leadership & personal development programmes. he focuses on helping teams and individuals become operationally effective quickly; and in helping leaders focus on areas that will deliver substantial gain for them and their companies.  He helps organisations define their strategy and improve their internal processes to deliver greater productivity, profitability and growth despite increasing pressures on costs and resources.

He originally trained and worked as an actor before moving into the field of learning and development, and this informs the way he engages with people & delivers his assignments.   His training sessions and seminars are interactive, thought-provoking and entertaining, allowing learning to emerge. He continues to work closely with actors who bring an extra dimension to training and assessment processes. Occasionally to be found speaking at conferences or delivering Stanley Holloway monologues at weddings, Tim now describes himself as a ‘recovering actor’.

He has also worked as a lecturer in FE & HE, and been a Recruitment Consultant in Finance and the Arts. He has a 1st Class Hons degree, a Diploma in Business Performance Coaching, a Diploma with Distinction in Acting, and is an accredited user of MBTI Steps 1 & 2, and the Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory. His is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce whose mission  is to enrich society through ideas and action.

Rosemary Kay

Rosemary is a co-founder of Kay-Lambert Associates. She combines her experience of writing, coaching, facilitation, drama and music to develop rich and magical experiences for our clients.

She has an extensive background in education as a teacher, senior lecturer in Further Education, Head of Department and external examiner. She has taught Creative Writing at Salford University and is currently studying for a Phd at Manchester University.

Rosemary is especially skilled in the area of course design, assessment and evaluation, and training delivery.She is an expert facilitator  and delivers programmes on Presentation Skills, Personal Impact and Story Writing. Her innovative approach, combining story telling methods with personal impact coaching has enabled people to make real breakthroughs. She has recently complemented this skill set by completing a NLP Diploma.

She is also an award-winning screen writer with a Bafta and a Royal Television Award in 2004 for her screenplay: This Little Life, having already won the Dennis Potter award. The film went on to win numerous other awards throughout the world including a Prix Europa. She has published books, written TV dramas and radio plays, many of which have also won industry awards, and she is currently developing numerous projects for film and television.

Clare Forrest

Following a career in operational management and human resources, Clare has been a Training Consultant and Seminar Speaker since 1985, specialising in Management Development, Team Building and Communication Skills. 

She particularly enjoys working with clients to design and deliver motivational seminars and training at a strategic level on recruitment, time and customer management issues.

A consultant, designer and presenter on many programmes Clare adopts an entertaining and highly pragmatic approach – she does not believe in quick fix theories which can’t be firmly rooted in the realities of working life. Apart from training she also carries out staff recruitment, including running assessment centres and individual performance development – coaching and counselling, including interview skills. Clare is an NLP Master and works with individuals on anxiety and stress management.

Previously a reviewer and Netcheck columnist for the Training Journal, Clare’s many publications include Choosing and Using Training Consultants; Warehouse Management; Time Management for Retailers; Understanding Stress and 20 Training Workshops for Listening Skills. Her most recent publication is a trainer’s pack on Advanced Presentation Skills for Fenman which was published in January 2004.  Building on her obvious strengths as a copy writer, she runs a variety of Report Writing and Speed Reading courses which are always  extremely well-received.

Ros Faulkner

Ros is a highly experienced coach and trainer with a track record of inspiring individuals and teams, resulting in significant business performance improvement. 

She has excellent communication skills, the ability to help people realise their potential and the drive to make a big difference.

She regularly works with individuals and teams around Leadership and Performance to help organisations operate more effectively and achieve their goals. 

All her previous work roles including Business Development Consultant, PR and Marketing Consultant, Director of Steel Fabrication Company, Business Development Manager, TV Producer/Reporter and Teacher have relied heavily on communications skills, focused thinking, ability to build confidence in those around her and genuine interest in people.

Ros also regularly works with individuals and organisations to support people through career transition and where outplacement is required. She has a wealth of practical knowledge around CV writing, interview skills and recruitment; this combined with her ability to build confidence, resilience and self-motivation in those she works with, really does ensure exceptional results.

Ros delivers with warmth, sincerity and an element of fun.  Above all she is passionate about her clients reaching their full potential and delights in their success.

Chris Marsden

Chris is a qualified Life Coach, an NLP Practitioner, and an experience deliverer of training.

With nearly 30  years of experience she has worked in schools, FE colleges, the public sector, the community and UK based businesses. Her work has also taken her to the Middle East as an educational consultant. 

Chris delivers interactive, enthusiastic and practical training which is respectful of and responsive to the needs of the learners, focusing on common issues which delegates face.  

She specialises in Personal Development programmes as well as in Technical training around Correspondence, Communication and Meetings Management.

John Wheat

John possesses over 30 years experience in a variety of Line and personnel roles. He has  worked in heavy industry in Merseyside and north Wales, been a foreman, a HR officer and Manager and operated as a consultant working in a broad range of sectors including health care, distribution, manufacturing, food, packaging and financial services. 

He currently combines his consulting role with a line role as part-time HR Director for a national distribution company.

His line experience has included Shift and Production Management with Pilkington Bros. before moving to Personnel Services management. With Continental Can Europe, he moved from Safety and Training Manager to Site Human Resources Manager and then to UK Human Resources Manager covering three UK sites.

John is an exceptional, entertaining and highly experienced deliverer of training.  He possesses great motivational skills, as well as a facility for finding just the right anecdote (always based on his own direct experience) to get the learning across.

Major achievements have been in the areas of Low Absence Culture, Management Development linked to Organisational Change with the introduction of modern working practices.  

Sally Sheriden

Sally is just one of our team of role players who has worked for KLA since its inception. Originally training at the Manchester Metropolitan University Theatre School, she worked as a professional actor from 1989 and has worked extensively in Television and Theatre.

She is a highly skilled role play actor having worked on a variety of training and assessment programmes for companies which include Astra Zeneca, Portable Foods, C.F.S., Lex Vehicle Leasing, AXXA, Kelloggs, M.E.N, and Britannia Building Society. 

Her industry knowledge and impressive people skills enable her to play a full and complementary role in subsequent review sessions, where delegates can benefit from her finely judged feedback.

Sally has also designed and facilitated Customer Service training programmes covering both face-to-face and telephone skills and techniques. She currently uses these skills to great effect in her current role of Theatrical Agent with the north-west’s premier actor’s agency, and helps us provide skilled actors for many of our training programmes.
