Impressive Results – a Case History

One of our very first clients back in 2004 is a fmcg subsidiary of a global food manufacturer. When Kay-Lambert were called in, it was a fairly new and peripheral part of the company, and expectations weren’t high. However, the director of the plant was open-minded, and knew there was scope for growth.

We have been their preferred and main supplier of training and consultancy ever since, and in that time, the meteoric rise of the business has been astonishing, with impressive statistics: 400% rise in volume;  waste levels down to a quarter of what they were; absence levels down from 5% to below 2%.

And as evidence of the great culture that has developed, the business has recently been awarded the IiP Gold Standard, one of the few companies in the country to meet the rigorous assessment standards, showing a year on year improvement. And all this has been achieved through the comprehensive interventions of Kay-Lambert Associates.

How did this amazing transition take place? We ensured that the company put in place the necessary conditions for a strong organisation; we trained and developed a skilful and motivated Leadership Team, who could sail through the many changes of Plant Director; and we provided a varied, effective raft of programmes designed to drive year-on-year growth and productivity.

Over the past eight years, we have been involved in almost every aspect of the business. Kay-Lambert Associates designed their Employee Development Process and Reward Mechanism; helped them develop their leadership competencies and behaviours; trained their managers; facilitated leadership team meetings; shaped a culture based on highly effective team work; facilitated the development of a coaching style to management; introduced a balanced scorecard approach to developing strategy and cascading this throughout the business; provided personal coaching; designed their first employee survey, and administered 360 degree feedback to senior managers.
